One challenging thing Jesus revealed to me before embarking on this journey is that we need to be content, labouring for Him our whole lives without seeing any fruit. That is speaking of the harvest coming in and not the fruit of the spirit. Some of His disciples may spend their entire life sowing seeds and others watering, just for some evangelist to come in and take all the credit. If this seems discouraging, we need to realign our focus since we should find joy in Jesus and not in our works, which are filthy rags to the Father. Besides, God’s goodness draws a man to repentance, not the fiery teaching of an evangelist or the clever words of a pastor. So, who can take credit for any fruit? I’m not saying we shouldn’t rejoice with Jesus when someone comes to repentance. In the parable of the prodigal son, we see the father invite all his friends and family to celebrate the return of his son. But, we need to have joy in Jesus, regardless of the fruit.
We have certainly been on both sides of this scale, where we’ve laboured for months without seeing any fruit, and yes, we do feel discouraged and sometimes even feel like giving up. But then we feast our eyes on Jesus, dust ourselves off, and we press on with renewed hope and joy. And by the grace of God, we get to a place like West Bank, East London, where we are privileged to reap with Pastor Danny, who has been man alone sowing and watering in Lighthouse ministries for the last 2 years.
On 10 December 2022, we arrived in West Bank with the Cronje family and set up camp. Each of us: Henri, Yolandi, Bradly, Elmi and I shared our testimony in church the next day. By the evening, three families already wanted to be baptized. The next day after explaining the Gospel, true repentance and the cost of discipleship, two of the three families were born again in the baptism of water and the Holy Spirit. The following week Tjaart, Charlene, Stephan, Rolene and Marc arrived and shared their testimonies in church, after which the father of the other family where baptized, and another family followed a week later.
Ever since, we’ve been discipling them, and it’s with great excitement that we watch as the Holy Spirit works in their lives, convicting them of sin, challenging them to the great commission and giving them baldness to stand firm among their families and friends.
My conclusion, then, is that if God’s goodness draws a man to repentance, God’s grace allows us to see fruit. For we are merely His humble servants, we have only done our duty.
On the 27th of April, we celebrated our one year anniversary since we left to go and share the Gospel of Jesus with the world, and while we were in Joburg for a visit, some friends persuaded us to make a video of our journey. Although the video already says a lot, I’d like to add that we’ve had some good times and some bad times, but in the end, it was an incredible journey with Jesus, and what a blessing to do it as a family.
It is with great joy that I announce that the Cronje family is joining our blog. Since we wrote about them last year, they’ve moved into a caravan and taken the Gospel all over South Africa with some incredible results, seeing people set free from sin, baptised and filled with the holy spirit. Henri is quite active on Youtube, so we hope to share some of his videos with you, and Yolandi has already posted her first story here. Ideally, we’d like to give you more frequent updates.
Follow me
Jesus has been challenging me for quite a while now to (as He did) call someone to follow me, and I’ve been slowly chewing on this idea. Not knowing what it would practically look like and somewhat concerned about the implications of it, I’ve been putting it off until recently, when a friend was evicted from his home for attending the Kickstart Seminar, we hosted. I had to struggle through it with Elmi as we thought of all the potential complications involved, but God showed us a beautiful picture one night in fellowship, shifting our focus from the negative, confirming that we must invite Bradley to come with us. Not knowing how we’d do it financially, we obeyed Jesus in faith and asked Bradley to follow us. The very next day, I got an email from work informing me that an annual review revealed that my salary was less than the current market rate, and I’d been given an increase, enough to pay for the extra accommodation. Needless to say, I’m blown away at God’s greatness.
Not sure if this was all a test we had to go through, but we were slightly sad and confused when Bradley turned down the invite or at least said that God said not yet. But we’re patiently waiting and hope to see Bradley on the road with us soon.
New Minibus
Elmi briefly mentioned that Roelof and Ronel blessed us with a new Kombi in our last post, but I’d like to elaborate as I feel it is an amazing testimony.
We’ve been struggling along with the old bus since the day we left home. In fact, on the day we left, the old bus didn’t have enough power to tow the massive caravan out the driveway without some help from my neighbour’s bakkie. As a result, we’ve often driven up an average hill in second or third gear at a snail’s pace purely because it wouldn’t go any faster. Once or twice we had to go up a steep hill in first gear or even ask for a hand from someone with a bakkie to get to the top. That being said, when we visited Roelof and Ronel in June 2021, they felt they had to give us their bus, but they were not quite ready. But God had a plan. In November, Roelof phoned and said they really wanted to help us with their bus, and we’d just have to settle his finance. A week later, our bus was having trouble, and it wouldn’t start unless we manually pressurised the fuel line. The first time this happened, Elmi immediately started praying, and minutes later, she received an email informing her that she’d receive some money, enough to settle Roelof’s bus and fix ours. We patiently missioned on with the manual fuel pump, excited to come and collect our new bus, but while we were on the road, we persisted with the task at hand. We first had to visit another four places before returning home. In January, we started praying about who to give our old bus to and felt that the Cronje family needed a more potent car to tow their caravan with, and it’s a perfect fit since their caravan is a lot lighter. Finally, in March, we made our way back to Joburg. After Tjaart helped us up the Outeniqua pass with his bus, the Vivaro defied the laws of physics and hurled this enormous caravan the last 1000km to retire from our service with dignity. We took it in for repairs giving it some much-needed TLC, replacing the clutch, some injectors and some other minor bits and pieces before handing it over to the Cronje family, finally collecting our new VW Kombi from Roelof and Ronel.
We’re so blessed. Not only did the new Kombi tow better. It’s even overtaking people while towing uphill.
Thanks, Roelof and Ronel, for your obedience. We pray that God will bless you a hundredfold in return.
Tracts
We’ve had a chance to sit down and put together some flyers to hand out. We don’t always have time to get the complete Gospel to someone on the road. So rather than leaving it there, we’re now handing out a flyer explaining the Gospel whenever we’re not in a place to take a person through it.
Your mom didn’t teach you how to steal, you wanted to have something that was not yours to take, even though you knew it was wrong, and when confronted about it, you tried to hide it by lying.
Do you realise you’re a slave to sin?
Have you ever tried to go one day without sin? Unfortunately, sin has a hold on us. Even when we think we’re so good because we have no sin, we step into the sin of pride or self-righteousness.
Do you realise you have broken God’s law?
Have you lied, stolen, or used God’s name in any context apart from glorifying Him. Jesus mentioned that even our thoughts are sinful, e.g. lust, anger, and coveting in our hearts will be judged as if we’ve already committed adultery, murder or theft.
Don’t you see you need help, forgiveness and freedom?
If you failed to keep God’s whole law by stumbling even at one point, you’re guilty of breaking all of it.
No amount of good deeds can rectify the wrong.
Asking for forgiveness does not exempt anyone from their punishment.
Only if someone pays your fine can the Judge let you go.
Jesus (the Son of God) became a man (took on human flesh) and lived a holy and righteous life to become the atoning sacrifice (paying the fine) for our sin (saving us from eternal punishment)
What now?
Jesus has paid the fine for our sins, but that does not automatically guarantee salvation for all. He continually taught that only those who endure to the end will be saved. It starts with entering through the narrow gate (Believing that Jesus is the only way to the Father) and following Him and His ways. Jesus preached a holy lifestyle, repentance, baptism and an indwelling of the Holy Spirit. He also demonstrated precisely this: He lived a Holy life, was Baptised in water and received the Holy Spirit.
Have you repented and turned away from sin to follow Jesus?
Some of the first words Jesus preached were “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near” and “Come follow me”. Therefore, we need to leave our old sinful life behind and pursue a Holy and righteous life that we can only achieve in and through Jesus.
Have you been baptised into Christ Jesus?
Leaving the old life behind can be a difficult task since we’re born with a sinful nature, but by being buried through baptism into Jesus Christ, as we read in Romans 6, we put away the old self and experience freedom from the power of sin as we are reborn a new creation united with Jesus.
Have you received the Holy Spirit?
God reveals to us in Acts 19 that we don’t automatically receive the Holy Spirit when we believe, but that it comes through the laying on of hands or asking persistently, as Jesus describes in Luke 11. We also read that receiving the Holy Spirit was often accompanied by signs, e.g. speaking in tongues and prophesying.
And then…
Before Jesus ascended to the right hand of God, He left us with a commission (a task/job) to go to the ends of the earth and make disciples, healing the sick, casting out demons, raising the dead as we proclaim the good news of the kingdom of God.
One day
Jesus will come back to judge the living and the dead and separate the sheep from the goats. The sheep are those who kept the faith and endured to the end, bearing fruit in obedience to the teachings of Jesus. They will inherit the kingdom prepared for them from the foundation of the world. The goats will go into eternal punishment, an eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels.
Wow, again, it’s been a while since our last update, and we have so much to report on. I tried to give a detailed account of everything in chronological order since much of what happened in Sutherland was particularly striking regarding God’s timing, but after many attempts, I felt the story drowned in the details, and I decided to summarise everything instead. I’d like to add that I feel very much like a reporter, in the sense that I cannot take credit for anything that happened. It’s all God’s doing.
Evangelism Opportunities
We walked with the cross a lot, often building a whole entourage of little children, each wanting a turn to carry the cross. We shared the Gospel with them and gave them Gospel cards to recap afterwards. We organised a Discovery Bible Study that continued throughout our stay there. We visited people in the rural area preaching the Gospel to their families.
We handed out Bibles and were invited to take part in a Christmas tree for the little children where Elmi shared the Gospel, and Nanke danced and sang a song.
Three things that particularly stood out for me was:
Elmi prayed for a lady with a crutch, and her hip was healed. I laughed as I noticed her dancing down the road without her crutch.
Another lady approached us for prayer a couple of days later. She had heard about the one with the healed hip. Whilst praying, she fell to the ground as her back convulsed and a demon left on the street.
One day as we walked with the cross, we were approached by a man asking why I was carrying that thing. It was a Muslim who had never heard about the cross, and we had the opportunity to share the Gospel with him.
Nomad Lifestyle
The caravan park in Sutherland is relatively primitive, and the owner is not used to anyone staying for the length of time we did since most people only pass through on their way to the west coast. Although we paid a hefty price to be there, in the end, we felt that we’d overstayed our welcome.
Ruhan had his first run-in with a Red roman Spider jumping onto a chair to get away from it. Jusia found a dead one in the swimming pool and carried it around like a pet.
On the morning of the 14th of December, for Nanke’s birthday, we spectated the most breathtaking meteor shower, counting roughly 80 shooting starts in 80 minutes.
Making Friends
Probably the most significant part of our visit to Sutherland. We made family, not friends. Oom Koos, Tannie Elsa, Johaar and Tannie Marge welcomed us into their homes, fellowship, and their very lives.
Tamim ministries had a conference in Sutherland while we were there. We were blessed with the opportunity to listen to Ankia (a missionary to Indonesia) as she testified of God’s miraculous work there. Reminding us of our calling to the unreached.
God Provides
Sutherland is generally a dry, almost desert-like place, and besides the frequent snow in winter to replenish the groundwater, rain is a very scarce commodity. They’ve been in drought for seven to nine years, depending on who you ask. Water restrictions limited water use from 8 – 10 AM and 5 – 8 PM. In the short while we were there, the heavens opened several times, pouring down so hard once the whole town was knee-deep in water.
We also received a few donations that enabled us to donate a couple of Bibles and assist a small church in advancing their building project.
Revelation
I’m slightly embarrassed to say, but God revealed that I had a big fear of sharing the Gospel with a Muslim. Maybe even a fear of Muslims in general, but He’s working on it.
Sutherland had nearly no Christmas decorations, which completely negated the festive rush and the temptation to indulge. This revealed how we’ve been accustomed to the worldly festive rush and how peaceful life is without it.
Final thoughts
Our time in Sutherland was a busy one, filled with blessings, with God revealing His hand around every corner. We’re excited to go back in the future, but in the interim, we remain with them in Spirit and prayer.
For any of you not familiar with the board game Turkeys and Eagles, it is a game focused on revealing the lies the enemy has tried or sometimes even successfully convinced you of, replacing them with the truth. Based on a short story by Peter Lord, the Eagles represent your potential and the Turkeys the negative things you believe about yourself. I’ve witnessed God use this game to fix broken relationships, help people out of depression, and even rid people of demons (literally), haunting them for ages. God often speaks through the game encouraging, convicting, or sometimes chastising those who are listening. If you’re willing, The Holy Spirit reaches deep into your soul to uproot even the most significant issues you may have.
I’ve recently been through a bit of a rough patch, becoming very busy with all kinds of amusements. The enemy snuck up on me, trying to convince me that I was ineffective in God’s kingdom since I’d fallen for his distractions for some time. Guilt-driven, I tried to go out and evangelize, but all of my efforts fell flat. I felt like I was wasting our time, that the task was too great and we should just go home, but our God is so amazing.
An outreach we’ve been planning for some time with the beautiful people from House of Compassion had finally arrived, affording me many opportunities to share the Gospel, minister to the people, and pray for the sick. (Thank you, Tabitha and Pastor Bernard). I did not expect to be put in the spotlight, forcing me out of my comfort zone, but God gave me the courage and the boldness to say what I had to.
Upon our return home that day, our neighbors for the weekend (Sammy, Michelle, and their four kids) were busy worshipping. Being led by the Spirit, I invited them for a game of Turkeys and Eagles. Fellowship has become a rare commodity since we’re mostly away from fellow brethren. Getting acquainted quickly, Sammy briefly touched on one or two things he was dealing with at the moment. After explaining the game, we started playing, and immediately God began speaking to Sammy, addressing the exact points he mentioned before. It took me a while to join the game since you have to roll a six on the dice before starting, but wow, God is good.
He quickly got my attention using an exact phrase I was discussing with someone earlier that day. Then almost mockingly, God said to me: “Being a Christian is hard work. I don’t know if I can keep this up,” and “I don’t feel God’s presence,” precisely addressing my struggles. He also reprimanded me, saying that I was on thin ice watching Jordan Petersen’s videos and would get burnt if I didn’t stop. Sometimes something that sounds so close to the truth is the biggest deception. God then ended by saying that all the above held me captive, preventing me from working for His kingdom. In the end, I was so relieved that God knew what I was going through. God’s inconceivable goodness led me to repentance.
Motivated by God’s awe and wonder, we got together with the neighbors the following day and just worshiped God. And God started working again. In the last three weeks, we’ve had so many divine opportunities we’re blown away by God’s immense greatness. I’ve had a chance to witness in two churches, we’ve been street preaching, walking with the cross, handing out Bibles, booklets, and tracts. We had fellowship, witnessed a baptism, handed out food parcels, and preached the Gospel. We’ve prayed for the sick, encouraged, edified, prophesied, and given to the poor. All as God provided the opportunity.
Footnote: I’m not saying that Jordan Peterson is intentionally deceiving people, but he’s becoming a prominent figure in the media, and not unlike a lot of people; it seems like he’s still exploring the idea of Christianity, frequently asking the question: “What would my life look like if I truly believed?”
We arrived in Springbok on the 3rd of July, where we met up with Henri and Yolandi and spent the month as next-door neighbors.
Gospel opportunities in Springbok
After asking around, we found a small house church, whom we had the pleasure to encourage and equip with some tools to pursue the great commission of Jesus. We were also greatly encouraged by their influence in the community and their care and love for one another. For example, they went out of their way to go and pray for an elderly man late in the evening, and not a single member of the house church was absent. It was also good to be joined by some of them when we reached out to their community.
Henri organized an opportunity to share the Gospel with two guys at Spar, and when we started sharing the Gospel, a small crowd gathered around to see what was going on. The wind and the rain made it extremely difficult with my witness cards blowing all over in the freezing cold, but the Holy Spirit was working even though the enemy was trying everything in his power to stop us.
Ever since we received a big red cross as a gift, it has become a regular thing to take the cross and walk. This has come with mixed responses, some very positive and others not so much.
Since most of the small house church were ladies, Elmi and Yolandi decided to go and serve them one day, upon which a demon started manifesting. After praying for a while, they got the opportunity to share the Gospel with the visitor, but there was no sign of fruit. Would you please pray that the seed sown will find good soil and start growing?
We had a fantastic day in the “Kroek” in Springbok, drawing people with the smell of lekker boeries and Henri having a shot at open-air preaching, sharing the Gospel. We went there with 96 boeries, and within an hour the people finished everything.
Gospel video
One day while walking with the cross we were approached by a gentleman from a Christian motorcycle association who invited us for supper. While there we were afforded the opportunity to share the Gospel and they were so kind to record it for us and upload it to Youtube.
Home in Lambert’s Bay
We left Springbok for Lambert’s Bay on the 1st of August 2021, and after we had some technical difficulties at Malkoppan caravan park we came back to settle at Lambert’s Bay Caravan park.
Gospel opportunities in Lambert’s Bay
As soon as we had a chance, the whole family joined for a stroll with the cross. The reception was ok, but not great, however there was one particular individual (I had trouble pronouncing his name so said to call him Toto) who took a great interest in the cross, so we gave him a card and said to contact us if he wanted to know more.
Toto reached out two days later, and we had the opportunity of sharing the complete Gospel with him.
Another time we walked with the cross while Henri and Tjaart were visiting, Johan approached us and started asking questions. Johan is on fire for Jesus and would do great with some encouragement. I’m also hoping to equip him with some witness cards to assist in his labor for the Kingdom.
Fellowship
Everyone got together for some proper fellowship in Springbok with Tjaart and Charlene visiting Henri, Yolandi, Elmi and I for a week.
And again, on the west coast, with Henri and Yolandi staying only one town over, it was easy to meet up for fellowship when Tjaart and Charlene were visiting from Cape Town.
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus the Messiah, we’d like to impart some encouragement. We sincerely hoped to see all of you on our recent visit to Joburg and impart this encouragement in person, but time eluded us, and we had to move on to our next destination.
We would, however, still like to encourage you to follow Jesus with your whole heart.
The Americans have a saying, “Lean into it,” meaning that when it gives, there’s nothing to keep you from falling. Lean into Jesus, He promises never to let us down, but we have to let go of the world. We cannot hold on to the world and follow Jesus. “You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.” James 4:4. “Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. For everything in the world-the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life -comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.” 1 John 2:15-17. “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:2. Jesus said: “And whoever does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple.” Luke 14:27 and “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.” Luke 9:62. We shouldn’t even look back at our old life in this world.
As we’ve said to all of you: Trials, suffering, and even persecution of various kinds will come. Jesus made this clear, and we can certainly attest to that this month. It’s easy when things get tough to long back to the false sense of comfort we had in the world. Peter said that the trials and suffering come to test the genuineness of our faith. Like the seed that fell on the rocky ground, many fall away because of this persecution or trouble. But we want to encourage you to keep heart, for we know that the reward for following Him is far greater than the troubles we’ll face in this life. Jesus will perfect every good thing that He started in you, so continue to seek Him and His kingdom before all else. He has given us everything we need to live a Godly life and is even able to keep us even from stumbling.
“We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of His will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord, and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to His glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of His holy people in the kingdom of light.” Colossians 1:9-12.
May this come as a great encouragement to all of you, especially Bradley, Sussa, Simone, Adele, Cindy and Hendrik, Bernice, Rudi and Mericia, Roelof and Ronel, Tina, Goodman, Kholofelo, and all our other brothers and sisters in fellowship with Jesus.
Keep your eyes on Jesus; He’s worthy of it all. Tian, Elmi and the Kids
PS: Henri and Yolandi send their greeting to all of you as well.
Tian, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the Gospel of Christ. The Gospel God had planned from the beginning for the undeniable redemption of those who inherit eternal life through active faith in Christ Jesus.
God knew that man would sin against Him and precisely how wicked we would become. God knew that it would cost His only Son and that He would have to Give up everything, die a brutal death, and face His wrath for us to have a relationship with us, yet He still chose to create and love us. Let that sink in for a moment.
I thank God as often as I remember every one of you who has become partners with us in the Gospel of Christ Jesus. We sincerely miss all of you and pray that God will open a way for us to see you again soon. We want to impart some gifts to you to aid you in spreading the Gospel as Jesus has commanded us to do, and while we’re there, encourage each other with some much needed fellowship.
Evangelism news
Lazarus lives yet again: Wednesday, we made a trip to Gravelotte to buy some meat, and while we were there, we visited a giant Baobab tree for the kids to climb and explore. The guard at the tree was taking full advantage of the solitude the remote location provided, reading a daily devotional. Upon approaching him, he briefly mentioned that his name was Lazurus, “a friend of Jesus,” he said. Although being Catholic, Lazurus noted that he was born again, and it was clear that he was deeply in love with Jesus. After talking for quite some time, we shared the Gospel with him, to which his response was he wants to come and preach the Gospel with us. So if God permits, this coming Saturday, we’ll be handing out free boeries next to the road in Gravelotte teaching Lazurus to Gospel. Please pray that there are plenty of opportunities for him to learn and for people to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Please pray for Oom Ben and Tannie Antonette, who were seriously considering baptism after hearing the Gospel Wednesday evening. Please pray that the Holy Spirit assures them that God will give them the boldness to face the religious authorities (Opposed to the baptism) they’ve been looking up to their whole life. Pray that they would read the bible, believe it and do what Jesus says.
We’ve also been fortunate enough to hand out another couple of Bibles in and around the campground. Please pray that the individuals who received them will read it, believe it, and act on it.
Finding our feet
Packing up and pitching camp is continually becoming more manageable as we are familiarised with the equipment, but, at the same time, more complicated as we’ve had to invest in a few necessities we did not foresee requiring. I think it is safe to say that we’re about settled into the caravan. Now we need to find a practical way to organize the tent.
We’ve unfortunately had to deal with some equipment malfunctions as well. Thank you, Ludi, for letting me use your workshop to fix our awning winder. We’ve also done a very sketchy job fixing our outside grocery cupboard temporarily until we find a place to buy a new one. And we need to find a new buckle for one of our storm straps. I’m not mentioning this as a hint that someone must buy these things for us or that we need money, but rather illustrate that everything does not always go according to plan.
Making Friends
With the Corona virus surging and most people at our current location being elderly, making new friends has become slightly more challenging.
Please pray that this situation changes or that God sends some friends regardless of the circumstances.
Finance
Besides buying a couple of Bibles and sending some money to some people in desperate need, our expenses towards the Gospel have been relatively low. We are, however, in the process of printing some Gospel cards, which we’ve found very useful in presenting the Gospel first of all, and secondly provides an excellent way to equip fellow disciples to do the same. To save in the long run, we’re opting to print a considerable number of cards, some of which we’ll put in storage, we will give some to fellow brethren, and others will be used to present the Gospel to the people we meet on the road. Ideally, we’d like to leave everyone we share the Gospel with, with a set of these cards and a Bible if they don’t already have one.
Revelation
An apprentice doesn’t become like his master by studying his character. He becomes like his master by practicing what his master taught. Jesus’ disciples became like Jesus by practicing what Jesus taught. The result of that humbled them to become like Jesus.
If there’s anything I’ve failed to mention or anything you would like to hear about in our Update letters, please let us know.
Elmi and the kids greet you in the name of our blessed Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Please thank God for keeping us healthy and providing for all our needs. See how I type this letter to you with my own hands.
May God bless you with a supernatural revelation of His love, grace, and mercy, and may He grant you the words to express and proclaim it to the world.
‘Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”‘ Matthew 9:37-38
Meet Henri and Yolandi. Two beautiful disciples of Jesus very eager to go and make a considerable effort to fulfill the great commission. A real heart for the lost. They’ve already quit their jobs and sold all they had in preparation, as Jesus said in Luke 14:33: ‘In the same way, those of you who do not give up everything you have cannot be my disciples.’
Please pray that God will send them out. There’s a lot of work out there. Many people have never heard of Jesus or even know someone who’s heard of Jesus. Please pray that God will give them everything they need for this journey and that God will sustain them. Please pray for their two beautiful little boys (Lihan and Righardt). May God protect them and give Henri and Yolandi the grace on this seemingly uncertain road to raise them as the children God intended them to become, and please pray that they make a massive impact in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Henri and Yolandi hope to leave at the end of June – beginning July and start in the Northern Cape, but they’ve got plans to cross Africa and to eventually, if God permits, take the Gospel all the way to China.
You can find out more about them on Facebook or Youtube. Henri is putting together a comprehensive overview of the Gospel on his YouTube channel.
I’d like to leave you with the following song to consider in your prayers.
